This tea is produced from large, mature leaves in late summer and autumn and produces a fairly simple flavor with mild sweetness and fine balance. The caffeine content is a little lower and therefore it is common for Japanese parents to give this tea to their children. The neutral character makes it excellent to drink with several different dishes.
